Guest Farm
Rondefontein is a six chalet guest farm and also a working sheep farm situated only 2.5 km from the N1
and 3km from the town Springfontein in the southern Freestate.
We are a perfect halfway stop between the Northern parts (Gauteng, Durban, Kruger park etc...) and the Southern parts
(PE, Garden route, Capetown etc...) of South Africa, offering a peaceful nights rest and a homey farm experience.

After a long day of driving, there is nothing better than to stretch your legs on a nice long walk through the beautiful Freestate velt to experience the peace and tranquility of nature, and to admire the lovely sunsets we are blessed with everyday.
The farm is also full of friendly animals (chickens, rabbits, ducks, cats, dog, sheep, springbuck, etc...) that loves to give our guests a warm welcome!
We have our own veggie garden and a lush summer garden and green lawn where the kids can run and play. We also have a play area for the kids to enjoy.

In our hot summer months you can come down to the bar/dinning room and have and ice cold drink around the pool, take a refreshing dip and relax or watch some sports. Or in our cold winters you can enjoy a warm drink around our cozy fireplace.
In the evenings we serve a delicious home cooked karoo lamb dinner (lamb of the day) in our dinning room, with an option of starters, puddings and more. In the morning we serve a full English breakfast with fresh fruit, yogurt and cereals, and of coarse a good moer koffie or a pot of tea.
We have a small little shop with some home made and hand made items.

We are completely “off grid”, running only on a solar system, with gas and a generator as backup for the cloudy days.
OUR ROOMS
Rondefontein guest farm offers 6 cosy cottages / chalets, each one unique. Some have baths and others have showers and they range from a double room stone cottages with thatch to a family room, or self catering, all with small kitchen areas and an en-suite bathroom.
Each rooms offers Television (DSTV guesthouse package), a small kitchen area with a microwave, kettle, small fridge, coffee and tea, a braai area, electric blankets and heaters for the winter and a fan for summer.
